As pigeons nest all year round it can mean a significant build-up of corrosive pigeon foul which causes bacteria growth and can lead to biting bird mites. Solar PV module manufacturers do not cover damage to modules and the associated components from pest related incidents. The cost of replacing DC cables and modules can be into the thousands, therefore bird and pest protection will protect your investment and keep manufacturer warranties in place.
