Energy monitoring:
see where every kWh goes.

Monitoring that shows what your site generates, stores and consumes, alerts you when performance drops and produces the data your ESG, finance and board reporting needs. It is the smart layer that makes solar, storage and EV charging work as one system.

01. Who this page is for

You cannot manage
what you cannot see.

Written for energy managers, finance teams and sustainability leads who need to know the renewable assets on their sites are performing, and need the numbers to prove it. An array that quietly underperforms for months can cost more than the monitoring that would have flagged it early.

Energy monitoring brings generation, storage, EV charging and site consumption into one view. It shows self-consumption and export, compares performance with what we expect, alerts you when a string, inverter or battery is not doing its job, and turns the data into reports for ESG frameworks, finance and boards.

It is also the control layer for smart energy. The same data lets a battery shave peaks, a smart tariff schedule discharge and an EV load manager share the supply. We set it up at commissioning and use it ourselves for operations and maintenance.

02. What you get

Data you can
actually act on.

Live dashboard

Generation, storage, charging and consumption for every site, on desktop and mobile, with full history to dig into.

Performance alerts

Automatic alerts for a drop in generation, an inverter or battery fault or a loss of communication, sent to you and to our maintenance team.

Reporting

Regular reports on generation, self-consumption, export, availability and carbon reduction, in a format that drops straight into ESG frameworks and board packs.

Optimisation

The data behind peak shaving, smart tariff scheduling and EV load management, so the system keeps improving after commissioning.

Portfolio view

See every asset across a multi-site estate in one place, ranked by performance, so you can focus where it is needed.

03. Why Synergy Power

Smart energy,
built in from the start.

01

One connected system

Solar, storage, EV and site supply are monitored and controlled together, not through separate apps.

Generate · store · charge · optimise
02

Problems found early

We compare performance with what we expect, so underperformance is caught in days, not at the annual review.

Alerts to you and to us
03

Evidence for reporting

Generation, savings and carbon data backed by MCS documentation for ESG, funders and boards.

Audit-ready outputs
04

Set up by the installer

Set up at commissioning by the engineers who designed the system, and used by the team that maintains it.

04. How it works

From commissioning
to continuous improvement.

Step 01

Assess

What you have on site, what you need to see and who needs the reports.

New or existing systems
Step 02

Configure

We set up metering, gateways and the platform at commissioning, or retrofit them to systems already installed.

Step 03

Baseline

We model expected performance, so alerts and reports have a meaningful benchmark.

Step 04

Monitor & alert

Live data, alerts and regular reports, and our maintenance team is told about any fault.

Always on
Step 05

Optimise

We refine the control strategies for storage, tariffs and EV charging based on what the data shows.

Start with a free feasibility study for your site.

If you are planning a new system or want a clearer view of one you already have, a UK engineer will assess the site and recommend the right monitoring and smart energy set-up.

06. Monitoring FAQs

Your monitoring
questions answered.

Still have a question?0330 043 1047
Can you monitor a system another installer fitted?

Yes. We retrofit metering and monitoring to existing solar, storage and EV systems, whoever installed them, and can take on their maintenance too.

What happens when an alert is raised?

You are notified, and so is our operations and maintenance team. They diagnose the fault remotely where possible and visit where needed.

What do the reports include?

Generation, self-consumption, export, availability and carbon reduction against baseline, formatted for ESG frameworks, funders and board reporting.

Can we see all our sites together?

Yes. We show multi-site portfolios in one view, ranked by performance.

Is monitoring included with a new installation?

Monitoring is set up at commissioning on the systems we install. Reporting and alert response are available as part of an operations and maintenance plan.

Will monitoring show if our solar is underperforming?

Yes. We model expected performance for your system, so the platform can compare actual generation with that baseline and raise an alert when a string, inverter or battery falls short.

Can monitoring data help us decide on battery storage?

Yes. Site consumption data shows when your demand peaks and how high it goes, which is the starting point for sizing a battery for peak shaving or tariff optimisation.
