Rooftop solar
Arrays on halls, kitchens and offices, sized to the building's daytime demand.
Energy savings for mandirs, gurdwaras, temples and viharas with high daytime use, busy kitchens and community halls. We design around your building and your calendar, install around services and festivals, and support your grant applications and community fundraising.
This page is for temple committees, trustees and management teams of mandirs, gurdwaras and other places of worship. Many are busy from early morning until late evening, with daily services, busy community kitchens, classrooms, halls hired for weddings and celebrations, and offices. The electricity bill shows it.
Solar is at its best with exactly this kind of daytime demand. Kitchens, refrigeration, ventilation and lighting draw power while the panels generate, so most of the electricity is used on site rather than exported. A battery carries the surplus into the evening for aarti, kirtan and events.
We plan around your calendar, from daily services to major festivals, handle access and welfare respectfully, and write plain-English proposals that a committee can approve and share with the community.

Yes. We agree survey and installation days with the committee and plan them away from major festivals and busy periods.
Yes. Daytime kitchen, refrigeration and ventilation loads mean most solar generation is used on site, which is where the savings come from.
If the building is busy in the evening, a battery stores daytime surplus for that use. Your feasibility study shows whether it pays.

Many rooftop systems can be installed under permitted development. Listed buildings, conservation areas and some flat-roof or ground-mounted systems may need planning permission or listed building consent, and some places of worship have their own approval process. We advise at survey and prepare the drawings for any application.
The survey checks the roof structure, covering and access before anything is designed. If the roof needs repair first, our in-house roofing team can carry it out under the same contract.
