How much do you use, and when?
Your bill and smart-meter data show how much electricity you use and at what time of day. That sets the battery size and tells us how much of your demand solar can realistically cover.
The simplest route to a complete home energy system. We pair the right solar panels with the right battery, sized together around how your household uses electricity, install both in one visit and give you the information you need to choose a smart tariff.
Solar panels on their own generate most of their energy in the middle of the day, when many homes are empty. A battery on its own only saves money if there is cheaper energy to fill it. Designed together, the two cover far more of your household demand: daytime generation is stored for the evening, and the battery tops up on cheaper overnight rates when the sun has not done enough.
When we design a package we start with your electricity bill and how you live: when you are at home, whether you cook with electricity, and whether you have or plan to get an electric car or heat pump. That tells us how large the solar system should be and how much storage you will use. We will not simply sell you the biggest battery that fits the wall.
One installation means one scaffold, one electrical design, one set of paperwork and one handover. We choose the inverter, battery and monitoring to work together, ready for you to use with a smart tariff.

Orientation, pitch, shading and available area set the size of the solar system. We survey the roof and structure ourselves rather than designing from a satellite image alone.
An electric car, a heat pump or a growing family changes the numbers. We size and wire the package so the next step is an addition, not a redesign.
Our own engineers survey, design, install and maintain your system. We do not use call centres.
MCS · RECC · TrustMark · NICEICWe model every package on your own consumption and give you an estimated system size, savings forecast, carbon estimate and indicative return.
Free feasibility study firstWe are a Tesla Powerwall certified installer, and we choose the inverter, battery and monitoring to work together.
Backup power optionsWorks with smart tariffs. You choose and switch tariff with your energy supplier, and as an Octopus Energy Trusted Partner we can give you the information you need.
Charge off-peak, export at better ratesSend us a recent electricity bill. A UK engineer works out your package size, savings forecast, carbon reduction estimate and indicative return.
No obligationOur own engineer checks the roof, structure, consumer unit, cable routes and where the battery will go.
Own engineersA package designed for your home, with room to add an EV charger or heat pump later.
Fixed priceOur MCS-certified team installs, tests and commissions your solar and battery, usually in a single visit.
One team, one visitYou receive your MCS certificate, which you need to apply for the Smart Export Guarantee with your chosen supplier, and your monitoring app.
Long-term supportShare a recent electricity bill and a few details about your home. A UK engineer will size the solar and battery together and give you the figures.
Installing both in one visit saves a second scaffold, a second electrical design and a second set of paperwork. It also lets us choose an inverter and battery that work together. Your fixed-price quote shows the package cost clearly.
That depends on how much electricity you use after dark and whether you charge a car or run a heat pump. We size it from your own data, not from a standard bundle.
Some systems can provide backup power to selected circuits or the whole home with the right equipment. Tell us if that matters to you and we will design for it.
Yes. Packages are designed with the next step in mind, so adding a charger or a heat pump later is an addition rather than a redesign.
No. You switch to a smart tariff with your energy supplier yourself. As an Octopus Energy Trusted Partner we can give you the information you need to choose a tariff that suits your solar and battery.
Solar panels and battery storage installed in homes in Great Britain are currently zero-rated for VAT under HMRC's energy-saving materials relief, until 31 March 2027. Our quotations reflect this.
Smaller systems are usually connected and then notified to your Distribution Network Operator under G98. Larger systems need a G99 application approved before connection. We confirm which applies to your package at design stage and handle the paperwork.
Licensed electricity suppliers pay you for the electricity you export, based on metered export. Each supplier sets its own rate, and systems up to 50 kW need MCS certification to qualify. You apply to your chosen supplier using the MCS certificate we give you.
