Modern slavery

How we prevent
modern slavery.

Our commitment

Synergy Power Ltd does not tolerate modern slavery, forced or compulsory labour, child labour or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chains. This statement sets out the steps we take to prevent it, in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our business

Synergy Power Ltd was incorporated in 2012 and is registered in England and Wales under company number 08129914. We design, install and maintain solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, air source heat pumps, solar carports and roofing for homes, businesses, developers and the public sector. Our head office is in Coventry, with further offices in Leeds and London.

Our work is carried out by our own in-house UK team, with trusted specialist sub-contractors brought in where a project needs them.

Our supply chains

Our main purchases are solar panels, inverters, batteries, EV chargers, heat pumps, mounting systems and electrical components, which we buy from established manufacturers and UK distributors.

We recognise that the global solar industry has well-documented forced labour risks, particularly in parts of the polysilicon and solar panel supply chain. This is the part of our supply chain where we take the most care.

How we reduce the risk

  • Choosing suppliers: we work with established manufacturers and distributors, and we expect them to have their own policies against modern slavery and to be able to explain where their products come from.
  • Our own people: we employ our team directly, carry out right-to-work checks as UK law requires and pay at least the National Minimum Wage. No one is asked to pay a fee to work for us, and we never hold anyone’s identity documents.
  • Sub-contractors: we expect every sub-contractor working on our projects to meet the same standards we set for ourselves.
  • Raising concerns: anyone, inside or outside the business, can raise a concern with us in confidence, and we look into every concern raised.

If we find a problem

If we find evidence of modern slavery in our business or supply chains, we will act on it. Depending on the situation, that can mean working with the supplier to put things right, reporting the matter to the authorities or ending the relationship.

Reporting a concern

To raise a concern with us, email info@synergypowerltd.co.uk or call 0330 043 1047. You can also contact the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline in confidence on 08000 121 700.
