Rooftop solar
Arrays for flat and pitched roofs, sized to the building's daytime demand and roof area.
Lower the running costs of your prayer halls, community wings, madrasah classrooms and offices. We design around your building and its daily rhythm, install around prayer times and Friday congregations, and support your community fundraising and grant applications.
This page is for mosque committees, trustees and management teams. A mosque is busy from the first prayer to the last. Heating, lighting, ablution facilities, classrooms and community events add up to a substantial electricity bill, paid from the community’s own giving.
Solar generates most during the day, when classrooms, offices and midday prayers are in use. A battery carries that generation into the evening for Maghrib and Isha, Friday congregations and community events. Together they cut the bill and reduce the building’s dependence on the grid.
We plan every stage with the committee. Surveys and installation days are arranged around prayer times and Friday, welfare and access are handled respectfully, and you receive a plain-English proposal that trustees can approve and share with the community in a fundraising appeal.

Yes. Every survey and installation day is agreed with the committee, and the site is left clean and safe before each prayer.
Yes. Flat-roof systems use ballasted or fixed mounting angled towards the sun. The survey confirms the roof can take the load.

Our operations and maintenance team provides monitoring, planned maintenance and fault response so no volunteer has to.
Many rooftop systems can be installed under permitted development. Listed buildings, conservation areas and some flat-roof or ground-mounted systems may need planning permission or listed building consent, and some places of worship have their own approval process. We advise at survey and prepare the drawings for any application.
Yes, for eligible systems. Surplus generation is exported to the grid, and with an MCS-certified installation you can apply for Smart Export Guarantee payments from an SEG licensee. Rates vary by supplier, so your feasibility study sets out the export assumptions.
