01. Who this page is for

Damage happens.
The repair should be straightforward.

This page is for homeowners, businesses, landlords and public bodies whose solar or battery system has been damaged, and for the insurers, brokers and loss adjusters handling the claim. A damaged system is a safety problem first and a financial one second. Both need a specialist who understands the equipment, the roof and the paperwork.

We make the system safe, inspect and record the damage, and write a report with a repair scope and costed quotation in the format insurers and loss adjusters expect. Once the work is approved, our own engineers and roofers carry out the repair. They replace panels, inverters, fixings or cabling, fix the roof where it is part of the damage, and recommission the system with the certification it needs.

We do this for systems we installed and for systems we did not, from a single home array to a commercial rooftop or a car park canopy.

Lifted or displaced panels, failed fixings and rails, damaged flashings and roof coverings.

Vehicle strikes on carports and ground-mounts, falling debris and accidental damage during other works.

Water ingress

Roof and penetration leaks, waterlogged inverters and junction boxes, and the roofing repairs that go with them.

Theft & vandalism

We replace stolen panels, cabling and equipment with matching or improved components.

07. Insurance repair FAQs

Your claim
questions answered.

Still have a question?0330 043 1047
Do you work with our insurer directly?

Yes. We provide the report and quotation to your insurer or loss adjuster and liaise with them until the scope is agreed.

Can you repair a system you did not install?

Yes. We assess and repair systems from any installer and of any age, and can take on their maintenance afterwards.

Is the system safe to leave until the repair?

Not always. Damaged solar and battery systems can remain live. Call us for a make-safe visit rather than waiting for the claim.

Will the repair affect our warranties or export payments?

We test and certify the system when we recommission it, which helps keep your warranty position and Smart Export Guarantee arrangements in order. Where we replace equipment, we advise you on the warranty position, and you should let your SEG supplier know about any change they need to record.

Will you handle the claim for us?

We provide the report, costed quotation and liaison your insurer or loss adjuster needs. We don’t act for the insurer and can’t guarantee the outcome of a claim, which remains between you and your insurer.

What should we do straight after the damage?

Keep people away from damaged panels, cabling and the inverter, don’t attempt repairs yourself, take photos if it is safe to do so, and contact your insurer. Call us on 0330 043 1047 to arrange a make-safe visit.

Can you also fix the roof?

Yes. Our in-house roofing crew repairs the roof damage under the same instruction as the system repair.
