Preventative scheduled inspections
Planned visits at a frequency agreed for your asset, with the array, mounting, cabling, inverters, isolators and enclosures checked and photographed.
Planned maintenance, fault response and repairs, insurance repair works, mechanical panel cleaning, inverter replacement and monitoring for solar PV systems of every size, including systems installed by other contractors.
Operations and maintenance is a dedicated division at Synergy Power, not an add-on. The same in-house UK team that designs and installs our systems looks after them afterwards, and we take on systems we did not install.
We look after commercial rooftops, agricultural sites, schools, warehouses, large-scale solar and existing installations on homes and businesses, whoever fitted them.
There are six services, which you can take individually or combine into one maintenance plan: planned maintenance, fault response and repairs, insurance repair works, solar panel cleaning, inverter replacement, and monitoring and performance analysis.
Regular visits catch small problems before they turn into lost generation or a safety issue, and give you a written record of the asset's condition.
Planned visits at a frequency agreed for your asset, with the array, mounting, cabling, inverters, isolators and enclosures checked and photographed.
Thermal surveys of panels and connections reveal heat patterns that point to cells, connectors or components needing attention.
We test the DC and AC sides of the system and compare the results with the previous visit.
A report after every visit covering condition, findings, recommended actions and how the system is performing against expectations.
Practical support when faults, failures or damage occur.
We diagnose the cause on site and through monitoring data before any repair begins.
Failed or end-of-life inverters replaced like-for-like or with an upgraded unit, then recommissioned.
Inverter replacementWe repair damaged or underperforming strings, connectors and cabling.
For faults that stop the system generating or need urgent attention.
Monitoring shows whether your system is generating as it should, so problems are found from the data rather than from a disappointing bill.
Our team reviews the generation and inverter data from your system's monitoring.
We compare actual generation with what the system should produce for its size, orientation and the weather.
Any string, inverter or whole system that falls behind is flagged for investigation.
Regular reports for the people responsible for the asset, so performance and condition are on record, not guesswork.
We provide O&M for solar PV systems, whoever originally installed them.
Systems installed by other contractors are welcome. We record the condition of the system before any work begins.
Any installerWe bring existing installations onto planned maintenance, fault response and monitoring.
Existing systemsFrom a single rooftop to large-scale solar, under the same six services.
Any sizeSystems we installed, looked after by the same in-house UK team that fitted them.
One teamHow our six services work together to keep an asset in good shape.
A planned visit checks the array, mounting, cabling, inverters, isolators and enclosures.
Planned maintenanceThermal surveys and DC and AC testing, carried out during the same visit.
Planned maintenanceA written report with condition, findings and recommended actions.
Planned maintenanceBetween visits, we review generation against expectations and flag any underperformance.
MonitoringFault finding, string repairs, inverter replacement and emergency call-outs when something stops.
Fault responseMechanical cleaning on a schedule agreed with you or combined with an inspection visit.
CleaningWe haven't published an O&M case study yet. In the meantime, browse our other projects and O&M service pages.

Tell us about the system: its size, who installed it and any known faults. We'll come back to you with the right O&M services for it.
Yes. We provide O&M for solar PV systems of all sizes, whoever originally installed them. We record the condition of the system before any work begins.
It depends on the size, type and location of the system. We agree a visit frequency for your asset, and monitoring between visits shows whether anything needs attention sooner.
An inspection of the panels, mounting, cabling, inverters, isolators and enclosures, thermal imaging, testing of the DC and AC sides, and a written report with findings and recommended actions.
Warning signs include an inverter fault or error message and lower generation than you would expect for the time of year. Our monitoring and performance analysis compares actual generation with what the system should produce for its size, orientation and the weather.
Soiling reduces the light reaching the cells, so heavily soiled panels generate less. Whether a clean is worthwhile depends on the site, and monitoring data and an inspection show whether soiling is affecting output before you commit.
We don't publish fixed response times. Emergency call-outs are part of our fault response and repairs service, and we agree response arrangements with you for your asset.
Inverter replacement is one of our O&M services. We check compatibility with your existing equipment for each system rather than assuming it.
Yes. Insurance repair works cover storm damage, fire damage, impact damage, water ingress and system reinstatement. We don't act for the insurer and can't guarantee the outcome of a claim.
Planned maintenance, fault response and repairs, insurance repair works, mechanical cleaning, inverter replacement and monitoring, for solar assets of every size.
