Reducing energy costs
Generate daytime electricity on your own roof and buy less from the grid, with the savings forecast in your feasibility study.
Rooftop solar PV, peak-shaving battery storage, roofing and solar integration, EV infrastructure and smart energy solutions for businesses, industrial facilities, warehouses, factories and commercial estates. Designed, installed and maintained by one accountable UK contractor.
We work with finance directors, energy managers, facilities and estates teams and owners of commercial and industrial property who need to cut energy costs, hedge against price volatility and meet ESG commitments, all while keeping the site running.
We assess your site, design the right mix of solar PV, battery storage, roofing works, EV infrastructure and monitoring, install it around your operations and then support the asset for the long term. You deal with one contractor from feasibility study to asset management, with in-house engineering and roofing teams.
We install rooftop arrays from 10 kWp on light-industrial units to 500 kWp on warehouse and manufacturing sites. Capex, lease and third-party PPA routes let the investment sit on or off the balance sheet to suit your finance policy.
Every commercial proposal we produce is built around these five outcomes, modelled on your site’s own consumption data.
Generate daytime electricity on your own roof and buy less from the grid, with the savings forecast in your feasibility study.
Produce a growing share of your own supply and reduce your exposure to wholesale price movements over the life of the asset.
Battery storage discharges at your most expensive hours, flattening demand peaks and the charges that come with them.
MCS documentation and monitoring data give auditable evidence of generation and carbon reduction for reporting.
Storage designed for continuity keeps critical loads running and protects operations from supply interruptions.
Combine any of these services under a single contract. Each one has its own page with more detail.
01
Rooftop and ground-mount arrays for offices, factories, warehouses, retail and light industrial sites, sized to your daytime load so the electricity you generate is the electricity you use.
02
Commercial battery systems that store daytime generation, discharge through your most expensive hours and provide resilience for critical loads, integrated with new or existing solar.
03
Roofing and solar under one contractor. Our in-house roofing crew surveys, repairs or replaces the roof and makes it solar-ready, so the array and the roof beneath it are designed, warranted and maintained together.
04
Workplace, fleet and depot charging with load management, so you can move your vehicles to electric without expensive grid upgrades and, where possible, charge them from the solar on your roof.
05
See every kWh. Monitoring shows what your site generates, stores and consumes, raises alerts when performance drops and produces the data your ESG and finance reporting needs.
Two partner programmes that help your commercial battery and smart tariff earn income and work harder, on top of the savings.
Axle Energy's platform dispatches your battery to support the grid during periods of stress and pays you for the export, while you keep full control of the asset and your choice of supplier.
As an Octopus Energy Trusted Partner, we design solar and storage systems around Octopus smart tariffs, including Agile's half-hourly import pricing and export tariffs that reward well-timed discharge.
The capabilities that matter when the project is measured in hundreds of kilowatts and the roof is a working asset.

Still have a question?0330 043 1047It depends on your daytime load, roof, tariff and finance route. Rather than quote a generic payback, your free feasibility study models an estimated system size, savings forecast, carbon reduction estimate and indicative ROI from your own consumption data. Sites with high daytime demand tend to see the strongest case.
No. Alongside direct purchase we can structure operating lease and third-party PPA routes, so the installation can sit on or off the balance sheet depending on your finance policy.
Yes. MCS documentation plus monitoring and performance reporting give you auditable generation, consumption and carbon-reduction data for ESG and board reporting.
Yes. Commercial installations are RAMS-led and sequenced around your operating hours, tenants and site access. Our industrial rooftop projects have been delivered around live tenant operations.
Our operations and maintenance team provides planned maintenance, fault response, insurance repair works, mechanical solar cleaning and monitoring, whether or not we installed the system.
Constructionline (Silver), CHAS, MCS, RECC, NICEIC and TrustMark, all verifiable before tender.
Most commercial solar and battery systems are above the G98 limits, so a G99 application must be approved by your Distribution Network Operator before connection. Where network capacity is constrained, an export limitation scheme (G100) can help. We prepare and manage the application.
It can. Peak shaving discharges the battery during your highest-demand periods, reducing the peaks behind capacity and time-of-use charges. The saving depends on your peaks and tariff, which we model from your half-hourly data.
Commercial installations are subject to VAT at 20%, which VAT-registered businesses can normally reclaim. Your accountant should confirm how it applies to your organisation.
