6.5 kWp solar with Powerwall 3.
A residential solar and storage system at Rose Croft, Kenilworth. In May 2025 our in-house team engineered and installed 6.5 kWp of AIKO 460 W panels with Enphase microinverters, feeding a 27 kWh Tesla Powerwall 3 stack.

A Kenilworth home with
a complex multi-elevation roof.
Our client at Rose Croft, a homeowner in Kenilworth, asked for a complete solar and battery system: one that would reduce their dependence on rising grid electricity costs, reflect their environmental values and support the higher electricity use of a modern household. Quality, reliability and a well-integrated finish were non-negotiable.
The house has multiple roof elevations with both pitched and flat sections, so orientations vary and some elevations are partly shaded at different times of day. Integrating a Tesla Powerwall 3 with an expansion pack and Gateway also made the configuration more complex.
The flat roof needed a non-penetrative ballasted solution, while the pitched roof needed a secure, weather-resistant railed mounting system.
AIKO panels and Enphase microinverters,
with a Powerwall for backup.
We designed the system around the property’s layout. At its core are 14 AIKO 460 W panels, chosen for their efficiency, durability and neat appearance. They are paired with Enphase microinverters for panel-level optimisation and monitoring, so each module operates independently and shading or orientation differences across the roof have less impact.
Energy storage is provided by a Tesla Powerwall 3 (13.5 kWh) with a matching 13.5 kWh expansion pack and a Tesla Gateway for energy management, whole-home backup and outage protection. Surplus daytime solar is stored and released in the evening or during grid disruptions.
The roof called for a hybrid mounting strategy: a K2 railed system on the pitched sections and a secure, non-invasive Esdec ballasted system on the flat roof. We calculated load distribution and wind resistance for the ballasted system, planned cable routing and inverter placement for a clean finish, and fitted a solar skirt bird protection system around every array.

Day 5
Generation across every elevation.
Backup when it matters.
The installed system generates across all roof elevations. Microinverter technology keeps each panel producing under varying shading conditions, and the Powerwall stack lets the household store surplus daytime energy and use it in the evening.
Early performance showed consistent generation in line with projected outputs and the client’s expectations. The system also provides backup capability during grid outages and can be expanded as needs evolve.
No metered generation or savings figures are recorded for this project, so none are shown.
