01. Who this page is for

Looking after
your system.

This page is for homeowners with an existing solar or battery system who want it inspected, kept safe and kept generating, whether we installed it or another company did. Operations and maintenance is a dedicated division at Synergy Power, and the same in-house UK team that installs systems also maintains them.

Planned maintenance means regular inspections at a frequency agreed for your system. We check and photograph the array, mounting, cabling, inverter, isolators and enclosures, carry out thermal imaging and electrical testing of the DC and AC sides, and send you a written report after every visit covering condition, findings and recommended actions.

If something stops working, our fault response covers fault finding on site and through monitoring data, string repairs, inverter replacement and emergency call-outs. We agree response arrangements with you for your system rather than publishing fixed response times.

02. Planned maintenance

Preventative care,
scheduled and reported.

Regular visits pick up small problems before they lead to lost generation or a safety issue, and give you a written record of your system's condition.

Preventative scheduled inspections

Planned visits at a frequency agreed for your system, with the array, mounting, cabling, inverter, isolators and enclosures checked and photographed.

Thermal imaging

Thermal surveys of panels and connections show heat patterns that point to cells, connectors or components needing attention.

Electrical testing

We test the DC and AC sides of the system and compare the results with the previous visit.

Performance reporting

A report after every visit covering condition, findings, recommended actions and how your system is performing against expectations.

03. Fault response & repairs

When something stops,
we find out why.

Practical help when faults, failures or damage occur.

Fault finding

We diagnose the cause on site and through monitoring data before any repair begins.

String repairs

We repair damaged or underperforming strings, connectors and cabling.

Emergency call-outs

For faults that stop your system generating or need urgent attention.

04. Process

06. Maintenance FAQs

Common questions from
homeowners.

Still have a question?0330 043 1047
Do you maintain systems installed by other companies?

Yes. We provide O&M for solar systems of all sizes, whoever originally installed them.

What does planned maintenance include?

Preventative scheduled inspections, thermal imaging, electrical testing and performance reporting, at a frequency agreed for your system.

How quickly can you respond to a fault?

We don't publish fixed response times. Emergency call-outs are part of our fault response and repairs service, and we agree response arrangements with you for your system.

Can you replace an inverter from a different manufacturer?

Inverter replacement is one of our O&M services. We check compatibility with your existing equipment for each system rather than assuming it.

Do you clean home solar panels?

Yes, from single homes to housing portfolios, with safe access planned for each roof.

How do I know if my solar panels are underperforming?

Your monitoring app shows how much the system generates. If output drops compared with similar weather in previous months, or the inverter shows a fault, contact us. Our monitoring and performance analysis service compares generation with what the system should produce.

Do you maintain home batteries as well as solar panels?

Yes. Our planned maintenance, fault response and monitoring cover home solar and battery systems, including those installed by other companies.
